THOUGHTFUL BY DESIGN

The drive is more
than getting there.

Plan the places you want to visit, understand your fuel estimate, and keep the details you care about within reach. Waygo leaves turn-by-turn directions to the navigation app you choose.

01 BEFORE YOU GO

Plan ahead.
Or head out now.

Start a drive with Go Now or shape a trip for later. Keep places in order, add notes and packing items, and set optional stop times that follow each place’s local time zone.

  • Reuse Favorites, recent searches, and places shared from Maps
  • Give stops a category and priority; import or open an ordered itinerary
  • Get an editable title suggestion on supported iPhones with Apple Intelligence
  • Receive optional reminders for an upcoming planned trip

Waygo shares the places. Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze handles the route and turn-by-turn directions.

02 KEEP FUEL IN VIEW

A useful estimate.
A little more control.

Waygo uses your vehicle profile, starting fuel, and recorded miles to estimate fuel used and range before your reserve. Update MPG or fuel as your drive changes.

  • Look up EPA city, highway, and combined MPG; combined MPG powers estimates
  • Edit MPG, tank capacity, and your fuel reserve
  • Find nearby stations by straight-line distance from your location
  • Record gallons and an optional receipt total, or use Fuel Gauge entry

Waygo doesn’t read your car’s fuel gauge, calculate fuel stops along a route, or fetch station prices.

03 ON THE ROAD

See the numbers
that help you focus.

Check live GPS speed in a dedicated iPhone speedometer, or keep an active drive’s distance, time, and fuel estimate together. Readings are measured by the phone, not the car.

  • Choose Precision Digital, Heritage, or Night Drive
  • Use full-screen instruments, a minimal HUD, or a separate counter
  • Keep trip and fuel in Live Activities; review recorded stats in CarPlay

Standalone speedometer readings don’t create a trip or save driving statistics.

04 MAKE ROOM FOR STOPS

Keep plans flexible
and easy to follow.

Give stops optional arrival times and durations, with each one shown in its local time. Add notes and packing items, then check daylight and an arrival forecast as you prepare.

  • See sunrise and sunset with an offline daylight timeline
  • Check WeatherKit forecasts for a planned arrival
  • Reorder, edit, or remove places whenever plans shift

Weather forecasts need a connection and can change. Daylight is calculated on-device; Waygo asks how to resolve an ambiguous daylight-saving time.

05 TAKE A PAUSE

Helpful prompts.
You stay in charge.

Use an adjustable driving-stretch timer (two hours by default) to take an intentional break. Save a parking spot whenever you need it, and find it later. Optional refuel reminders ask what happened before changing your fuel record.

  • Take a break to pause drive time, miles, and fuel tracking
  • Add a parking note and walk back with Apple Maps later
  • Choose station-stop detection and background notifications separately
  • Set fuel alerts, trip reminders, and break timing in Settings

Refuel reminders are best-effort. A nearby station visit is never treated as proof of a fill.

06 AFTER THE DRIVE

Keep a record
of the miles behind you.

Completed drives bring together distance, driving time, estimated fuel, refuels, and any receipt amounts you entered. Explore a saved route and elevation profile when route recording is enabled.

  • Review the latest drives or open your full history and five drive totals
  • End a drive while keeping its multi-drive trip open
  • Explore route and elevation details, or delete route geometry and keep drive totals

Route recording is optional and disclosed before a drive. Distance and fuel are estimates; only receipt amounts you enter are counted.

07 REMEMBER THE JOURNEY

Bring the photos
back to the drive.

Trip Memories gathers accessible photos around the times of your recorded drives, then groups them with the trip. You can also choose photos yourself and move them between journeys.

  • Automatic discovery is off until you turn it on
  • Open a trip or drive gallery, then add, move, or remove photos
  • Waygo keeps references; original images remain in Apple Photos
  • With iCloud enabled, photo references and your choices can sync

Unassigned references remain available in Settings. Photos access and library availability apply; image files stay in Apple Photos.

08 YOUR DATA, YOUR WAY

Save locally.
Sync when enabled.

Waygo saves on your iPhone and can synchronize saved details through your private iCloud database. Turn sync off in Settings whenever you choose; local use continues offline.

  • Sync plans, vehicles, refuels, favorites, parking, recent places, and drive history with routes
  • Restore uploaded details on a fresh install with the same Apple Account
  • See the last successful upload and retry iCloud in Settings
  • Photos sync as references; the originals stay in Apple Photos

Sync and restoration can take time. Changes not uploaded before uninstall can’t be restored. Waygo has no separate account or custom backend.

FOUR PLACES TO PICK UP THE THREAD

Everything has
a place in Waygo.

Four focused tabs bring the drive, vehicle, and saved details together without turning the app into a navigation screen.
